MOTONOKAI, the Union of Originals, is a cultural association of friendship between Italy and Japan. It is a private and non-profit association whose initiatives give the opportunity of sharing emotions and passion for discovery or rediscovery of places, events, personalities and traditions which characterize and enrich the past, the present and the future of Italy and Japan. Two Countries geographically far apart but which have always been unified by mutual cultural interest, understanding and appeal.

MOTONOKAI initiatives express Italian and Japanese elegance and creativity and strive to blend cultural depth, originality and lightness. We wish to foster the joy of life, avoiding that depth arises boredom, originality decays into strangeness and lightness resolves into triviality.
